This is a project I have been working on for months ever since the old forum was closed and I have just finished the first map layout for it. What it is, is a Forum RPG in development that is being based off a story I have been working on. The story is about Erik Todd and Alice, my kid characters, who end up on an adventure. It starts with Erik having a dream one evening, where there is a steep grassy hill in front of his house and a white mouse in his backyard saying stuff about a treasure that lies just over the hill.
At first, they think it has to do with the Lavender Town Conspiracy, but then find out it is different and they decide to head back to tell Jerrin. Something or something chases after them, but they manage to lose it and find Jerrin to tell him. Jerrin decides to investigate this and it leads them into a forest where some kids in animal styled sleepers have been seen playing, and decides to enter the forest as he has not heard of such kids before. While in the forest, Jerrin remembers about hearing about sightings of pirates here. Wondering what pirates could be hiding in the forest to surprise them, they take precautions and soon come across a kid in an animal styled sleeper with a torn sleeper food. They decide to take the kid with him back to the tree house to question him further, but before they do, strange pirates show up to take the kid away. They give chase after them and lose sight of them, but not before coming across a strange pirate ship in a harbor and see the pirates already on it having the kid walk the plank. At that moment, someone dives into the water to catch the kid before he hits the water and retrieve him back to the shore.
The pirates start babbling about Peter Pan and Jerrin who knows nothing of it decides he wants to know if the kid in the animal sleeper knows anything about this. They notice the pirates have spotted them and decide to make a run for it with the kid in the animal sleeper in the group. While running, they run through a small village into a really long cave in a steep hill. As they are running through the cave, it turns into some strange vortex and they suddenly wake up to find out it was all a strange dream, yet they are left wondering if anything they dreamed out does exist. Wondering what to do now, they decide to continue looking for the anthro bunny girl and the elfin girl. At some point later, they travel to other worlds that include Mobius where they get Tails, Hyrule where they might get Link, an Earthbound world, to name a few of the many worlds. You wouldn't know which world could be next as they probably won't be able to control their destination. Think of a game of roulette with an infinite number of slots, each slot representing a world. When they travel to another world, they are spinning the wheel never knowing where the ball will come up.
Now let me know what you think of all this so far as I'm still working on the story and I have a map layout of the beginning area I just finished, which I have it at www.ebtm.org/images/forumrpg/rpgmap1.gif
Feel free to discuss if you either have anything to add or if you like this, .etc...
The next morning after breakfast, Erik talks to Alice out in the backyard about the dream he just had. Even though there is no steep grassy hill in front of their house, there is a wooded hill a distance away from the front of their house. They start thinking there might be something on the other side of that hill and prepare to journey over there. After packing a few things including their mouse costumes just in case, they leave to head to the hill. By the time they get to the hill, Erik and Alice discover a cave that goes under it and explore it. When they come out on the other side of the hill, they find they are in a thick wooded area. They soon end up getting lost in the woods and while trying to figure out which way to go, they end up finding a sparkle floating in midair that turns out to a portal which pulls them into another world. The world Erik and Alice end up in is the world of Mrs. Brisby and the Rats of NIMH where they find themselves in a dirt cave of sorts. By the time they find their way out of it, they find out it is an animal's burrow and they are mouse sized in an area of really tall trees.
Erik and Alice begin to wonder how they are going to get back home and make their way through the woods and tall grass. After a while, they come to a large grassy field area and make their way through it until they come to a large cinder block. Realizing that mice could be living here, Erik and Alice change into their mouse costumes in order to go incognito and not frighten off the mice while trying to ask for help. It turns out there are field mice living here who are Mrs. Brisby and children. After introducing themselves as a couple of mice, Erik and Alice find out Mrs. Brisby has just found a strange green stone just outside their home. Just as Mrs. Brisby looks it over and speaks the words on the back of it, it ends up destroying their house while they manage to escape into some underground tunnels. While following the tunnels, they come across a place where Mrs. Brisby hears a voice she thinks is Justin of the Rats of NIMN, but then finds it is a bunch of different rats talking about how they used Mrs. Brisby to begin to resurrection of their leader. Jenner the Rat.
Realizing they are in danger, they make their way above ground and back to the rubble to see if there is anything Mrs. Brisby could salvage. After finding an abandoned rat sized wagon and salvaging what they can, they load up the wagon and Mrs. Brisby tells them they are going to have to go to Thorn Valley to alert Justin as to what is happening. Just as they begin to head away from the rubble of the cinder block house, Mrs. Brisby looks back to notice rats showing up with one who looks awfully like Jenner the Rat noticing them. As the rats come toward them, they pull the wagon faster and Erik and Alice lead them into the woods back toward the animal burrow where they came into the world from. Here, they find a strange machine that looks like something of Nicodemus' and try to figure out how to get it to work. Just as the rats show up to corner them, something happens that causes the machine to start working and they all get pulled into it along with the wagon of stuff. Erik and Alice find they have ended up back in their own world along with Mrs. Brisby and family and their things.
Mrs. Brisby quickly finds a place a distance away to hide the damaged wagon in case the rats are about to come through the portal, and then continue to make their way through the woods. A short while later, they come to a clearing where they see a road. Thinking they found a way out, they head to the road only to find a few vans and scientists in white lab coats. This suddenly has Mrs. Brisby thinking they are from NIMH and suggest to Erik and Alice to run, but then the scientists come after them. They end up catching Mrs. Brisby along with three of her children thinking they are some strange species of huge mouse while Erik and Alice manage to escape with Timothy. After watching the scientists stick Mrs. Brisby with three of her children in the back of one of the vans from their hiding spot, they see the vans leave and disappear out of sight. Timothy becomes sad he just lost his family and Erik and Alice tell him they will help him find out where they were taken to. They head back into the woods and find their way back to the cave under the hill.

Timothy becomes sad he just lost his family and Erik and Alice tell him they will help him find out where they were taken to. They head back into the woods and find their way back to the cave under the hill.
After passing back through the cave, Erik, Alice, and Timothy make their way back to their home. By the time they get back home, it is getting late and will soon be dinner time. They decide to pretend Timothy is a stuffed toy they have found in case their mother sees them. Just as they come back inside the house, they find a lot of stuff has been packed up as they head up to their rooms. Timothy follows Erik into his room and up seeing him change out of his mouse costume, Timothy finds out they aren't mice at all. At first, Timothy is scared, but then warms up to Erik knowing he and Alice are helping him to find out where his family got taken. Erik soon hears his mother calling him downstairs for dinner and has Timothy wait there until he comes back. When he comes downstairs, he finds Alice has changed out of her mouse costume and is already at the table eating. He sits down to join her as he hears his mother telling them about how their father has just recently come across a large amount of gold nuggets in an abandoned mine that only he knows about, and that he just bought a house out in the country in which they are going to be moving to tomorrow.
After their mother finishes telling the story, Erik and Alice soon finish dinner. Erik heads into the kitchen to get Timothy some bread and cheese while Alice heads back upstairs to her room. Erik gets some bread and cheese from the refrigerator and takes it upstairs to his room where Timothy is waiting. He gives it to Timothy and he eats it up while Erik changes into his pajamas. They soon go to sleep and the next day after breakfast and getting Timothy more bread and cheese to eat, Erik brings Timothy downstairs while pretending he is stuffed animal while the rest of his room is packed by the movers. He takes Timothy out to the car and Alice and his mother soon come along. They soon leave to go to their new house. A few hours later, they arrive at their new house and sometime after settling down, they soon come across a fox boy wearing blue named Kane Fox who at first is reluctant to befriend them and ends up leading them to his mother and brother and sisters living in a house deep in the forest. After finding out his mother is Suzette Fox, his brother is Taru Fox, and his sisters are Katy Fox and Tana Fox, Erik tells them about Timothy and what has happened to Timothy's family.
Suzette Fox tells them she is sorry to hear what has happened and says she will find a way to help Timothy. This makes Timothy feel happy that he is going to get help here and the foxes soon become friends with them after learning Erik and Alice aren't going to hurt them. While being in the forest, Erik begins finding he likes it here and Kane and Katy decide to hangout with them and lead them to a smaller abandoned house out in the woods just outside their yard. They decide to make it their hideout and call it the Todd Forest Haven. After spending a day out here, Kane and Katy leave to go back to their home while Erik, Alice, and Timothy leave and head back home. While being back in their yard, their mother calls them in to have dinner which they do and then later head to bed.

Overnight, Erik has a dream about an elfin girl in trouble and needing possible help. The next morning when Erik mentions the dream to Alice during breakfast, she mentions having the same or similar dream and decides they should go see Suzette Fox about it. After breakfast, they leave the house with Timothy and head into the forest to find the fox house.
When they find the fox house again and knock on the door, they are greeted by Kane and Katy who are happy to see them again. Erik and Alice ask to see their mother and they leave to go get their mother. Their mother Suzette Fox comes to the door and Erik and Alice tells them about the elfin girl dream. After pondering the dream for a short while, Suzette Fox tells them of a rumor she had heard a while ago about a girl taken from a distant village and being held captured. Thinking she may be the same girl they had the dream about, Erik, Alice, and Timothy prepare for a long journey while Suzette Fox allows Kane and Katy to accompany them. Just after making sure they have all they will near, they leave the fox house with Kane and Katy following them and then leading them in the direction of Forestia Village. By the time they get to the outskirts of the village, Kane, Katy, and Timothy decide to wait for them in hiding while Erik and Alice head into the village to see if they can find a map of the area to figure out which way to go. After finding a map of the general area, Erik and Alice learn there is another village to the south called Oakville Village and decide to head there.
They head back out of Forestia Village in the direction they came and meet back of with Kane, Katy, and Timothy who come out of hiding to greet them. Right after asking Erik and Alice about the map they have found, they are told they are heading to Oakville Village to the south next. Shortly afterward, they leave and travel to the south toward where Oakville Village is located.

After trying for a long while, they reach Oakville Village while Kane and Katy with Timothy choose to hide again to avoid getting seen. As they walk through the village while trying to figure out where to go next, Erik and Alice come across a large clubhouse in a large tree in the middle of a yard and decide to stop to check it out. Right after entering the yard, they are met by a boy by the name of Jerrin who appears to be alone and sad. Wondering why that is and what had happened, they ask Jerrin and he tells them he used to be hanging out in a club with three other older kids until an incident happened that broke up the club which was called Sector OV since it is located in Oakville.
This resulted in Jerrin being left all alone and wanting to search for and find his lost beloved friend who is an anthro bunny girl. Erik and Alice decide to be his friends and agree to help him find his friend which cheers Jerrin right up. The description Jerrin gives of the anthro bunny girl at first would make you think it is Cream the Bunny, but it is not Cream as the bunny's name is Arisha Bunny and she has gone missing just before Jerrin has gotten involved with the three thirteen year old kids. After finding out more about the anthro bunny girl, Erik and Alice tells Jerrin about the two anthro foxes, Kane and Katy, and mouse Timothy they have left in the outskirts of the village. This is enough to get Jerrin believing he can reform the club with their help and starts talking about doing that, in which they agree to help. Sometime afterward, with Kane and Katy with them, Jerrin finds out something strange is going on here when he finds a bizarre message with the word "Lavender" repeated over and over like some sort of code word and sounding like a conspiracy going on.
While attempting to go investigate this matter, they end up finding out in the news about a sudden rash of young children suddenly having sporadic behavior such as chaotic screams and acting zombified over a certain pokemon game (or something similar). The group finds this is becoming creepier by the minute and needs to find out a way to save the effected children from this curse. This leaves the group to go on a quest to solve the mystery of who is behind this madness even some might get the idea of the notorious Team Rocket being behind it, but can't be sure as they haven't heard of them existing let alone any evidence of them being around either. Doing the investigating, the group ends up questioning some worried parents of the zombified children who don't pay any mind to the anthro foxes in the group, while investigating their homes for clues. A doctor's office may become involved as they try to find clues at the doctor's office where parents were taking their children to in order to try to get help. They even go to Jerrin's school to search lockers at the school where the children go for anything strange while trying to get to the bottom of this and save our friend.
They even find out the police seem baffled in this and not much help to us even though they warn us to stay away from the zombified children. Their search continues and we end up encountering teachers acting really weird like the class they're teaching is bogus or they are somehow involved, and soon after Insane Game Creators and the like attempting to stop them from finding out the secret behind their motives for the madness. Sound good so far? There is more. While on the investigating, they come across and rescue a Teddiursa pokemon from being tortured by some crazy kids. Unlike any Teddiursa pokemon, this one talks and speaks English similar to Meowth in Team Rocket. I have been thinking of a Teddiursa here since it has a crescent moon on its forehead similar to that of the cats in Sailor Moon which I had in mind. This Teddiursa ends up becoming the adviser of their group in a way and tells of more things including about the elfin girl that Erik and Alice have original left home to find. After the Lavender Town Conspiracy is either solved or dies down, Erik and Alice are out somewhere and spot some strange young kid activity going on.
